TUI’s First Two Flights of 2025 to Kavala: We Welcomed the First British Visitors Bound for Thassos
With great satisfaction and optimism for the new tourist season, the Thassos Tourism Organisation welcomed on Sunday 4 May 2025, at Kavala's “Megas Alexandros” airport, the first two flights of the year from the United Kingdom, operated by TUI. The first British visitors arrived bound for Thassos, marking the start of this year's tourist season in the best possible way.
The welcome was attended by the President of the Thassos Tourism Organisation, Mr Ioannis Markianos, the Vice-President, Ms Lamprini Foka, Mr Anastasios Bilias (representative of the Kavala Chamber and member of the Thassos Tourism Organisation), Maria Polymerou as TUI's representative on Thassos, and the Secretary of the Organisation, Ms Lamprini Tsiouprou. Their presence highlighted the importance of air connectivity and the practical support of local bodies for the island's tourism prospects.
The launch of TUI's flights confirmed the strength of Thassos in the British market and enhanced the destination's international outreach.
