Meeting with a delegation from the airline Jet2 and its Jet2 Holidays division

Today, a meeting was held in the office of the Mayor of Thassos, Mr Eleftherios Kyriakidis, with a delegation from the airline Jet2 and its Jet2 Holidays division, in the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Mr Panagiotis Archontis, the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Mr Ioannis Markianos, the Vice-President of the Thassos Tourism Organisation, Ms Lamprini Foka, and the Thassos Hoteliers Association.

The discussion covered the progress to date of the Air Connect programme funded by the Region, as well as further prospects for the island's tourism development and the growth of air tourism to the island. The Municipality supported the effort and stressed that it has always been, is and will always be a supporter of every initiative that promotes the island.

A further meeting was scheduled for the immediate future, ahead of the launch of the programme's communication campaign for Thassos this coming November.
