The Thassos Tourism Organisation at the World Travel Market WTM London 2025
Thassos, through the Thassos Tourism Organisation, made a strong showing at the World Travel Market WTM, held in London from 4 to 6 November 2025, represented by the President of the Organisation and Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Mr Ioannis Markianos.
The participation took place at the booth of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, which was recently awarded the title of Europe's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination at the World Travel Awards 2025. The presence of Thassos at one of the largest international tourism exhibitions is a significant networking opportunity with tourism professionals, tour operators, journalists and travel organisations from around the world.
Each year, WTM London serves as a barometer of the international tourism market, reflecting the trends and preferences of travellers. This year, particular emphasis was placed on the continued growth of Greek tourism and the country's firm position among the choices of British travellers, one of the most important markets for Greece.
The Thassos Tourism Organisation had the opportunity to showcase the island's natural beauty, culture, gastronomy and sustainable experiences, further strengthening its outward-looking profile and its international tourism identity.
