Thassos Strongly Promoted in Istanbul
On Friday 10 October the Thassos Tourism Organisation took part in a special tourism initiative of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Istanbul, aimed at strengthening the island's tourism presence in the neighbouring market.
As part of the mission, a visit was made to the offices of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB), where the destination of Thassos was presented to travel agents and bloggers, highlighting the natural beauty, cultural monuments and experiences the island offers all year round.
The initiative continued with B2B meetings, which laid the foundations for new partnerships and tourism exchanges between Thassos and Turkey.
The event concluded with an official dinner at the Sismanoglio Megaro, in the presence of the Consul General of Greece in Istanbul, Mr Koutras, and the Head of the GNTO Office in Turkey, where the next steps for promoting Thassos in the neighbouring country were discussed.
Once again, it has been shown that synergies and organised tourism initiatives deliver the best possible results for the promotion of our island.
