Thassos Present at the REMTh Tourism Conference in Komotini

The Tourism Conference of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace was successfully held in Komotini on Monday 7 April 2025 on the theme “TOURISM LIVE. Strategic Planning and Real-Time Dialogue”. The event presented the tourism policy strategy of REMTh, with an emphasis on sustainable planning, outward-looking promotion and the strengthening of the Region's tourism destinations.

Thassos, as the flagship of the regional tourism product, made a strong showing, represented by the Mayor of Thassos, Mr Eleftherios Kyriakidis, the President of the Thassos Tourism Organisation, Mr Ioannis Markianos, the Organisation's Vice President, Ms Lamprini Foka, the President of the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation (POX), Mr Paris Paraschoudis, as well as Mr Anastasios Bilias representing the Kavala Chamber, the member of the Board of the Thassos Tourism Organisation, Mr Stelios Synodias, and other representatives of tourism bodies of Thassos.

The participation of Thassos confirms the island's central role in the Region's tourism planning and the commitment of all institutional bodies to ongoing dialogue and strategic development.
